Meet Troy Dana
BOARD MEMBER
Troy has enjoyed thirty years of selling land in Washington State and the Pacific Northwest. He is the former President/CEO of Hodges Gilliam & Dana and now leads Washington and Alaska for Fay Ranches. Troy is also a Board Member of the Fay Ranches Community Foundation. Troy believes strongly in giving back to communities and helping when people need a hand. He also enjoys mentoring and giving his time to talented young individuals with innovative climate change technology and connecting them with other resources. Most rewarding for him is coaching and mentoring driven young folks and watching them thrive. Prior to embarking on his real estate career, Troy was a USCG Licensed captain of tug boats operating on the Yukon River and coastal Alaska from the Arctic Ocean to Prince William Sound.
Troy specializes in natural resource real estate transactions, conservation, lodges, recreational land, farms, and ranches in Washington and Alaska. Troy is the author of a white paper on carbon sequestration and forestland in the Pacific Northwest. Now with closings approaching two hundred thousand acres throughout the Pacific Northwest, Troy regards complex transactions such as conservation easement sales and land exchanges from one thousand to twenty thousand acres as some of his more significant projects over his career.
Troy was approved by the Washington State Bar and the Department of Licensing to teach Continuing Legal Education and Continuing Real Estate Education in matters regarding timber real estate sales and other specialty forest products.
