Privacy Policy and Information Collection and Use
Fay Rural Community Foundation (FRCF) collects personal information when you voluntarily register with FRCF, when you use FRCF products or services, and when you visit FRCF website pages (the “Site”). When you register, we may ask for information, but it is not limited to your name, email address, mailing address, zip code, and preferences for our properties or services (your “Personal Information”). FRCF collects information about your searches, requests for information, and other transactions with us, including information about your interest in or use of our products and services. FRCF automatically receives and records information on our server logs from your browser, including your IP address, FRCF cookie information, other information, and the page you request. FRCF uses information for the following general purposes: to send information to you, to display personalized advertisements to you, to send you marketing communications about us and our products and services, to respond to requests and questions, to fulfill your requests for products and services, improve our services, and to retain contact information for you.
Personal Information collected is retained until FRCF is notified by the individual or one of FRCF personnel to delete it. Users can change their personal information either by emailing or calling FRCF. We honor Do-Not-Track signals and do not track plant cookies or use advertising when a Do-Not-Track (DNT) browser mechanism is in place. We do, however, allow behavioral tracking by our third-party vendors.
FRCF Policy Towards Minors
We are concerned about children’s safety and privacy when using the Internet. Consistent with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act of 1998, we will never knowingly request Personally Identifiable Information from anyone under 13 without prior verifiable parental consent. If we become aware that a child under 13 has provided us with Personally Identifiable Information through the Sites without verifiable parental consent, we will do our best to remove such information from our files. Suppose a parent or guardian becomes aware that their child has provided us with Personally Identifiable Information through the Sites without verifiable parental consent. In that case, they should contact our Executive Director at info@faycf.org.
Promotional and Newsletter Communications
You may opt out of receiving promotional and newsletter emails from FRCF by selecting the option at the bottom of any email or contacting our staff. You may also opt out of receiving promotional emails and other promotional communications from us at any time by emailing info@faycf.org with your specific request.
Protection of Personal Information
We adopt appropriate data collection, storage, processing practices, and security measures to protect against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction of your Personal Information, username, password, transaction information, and data stored on our Site. Notwithstanding the preceding, by providing us with your Personal Information, you understand and agree that you will not hold FRCF, its officers, affiliates, and employees liable for any loss or damage incurred as a result of inadvertent disclosure of your Personal Information, whether due to negligence on the part of FRCF or otherwise.
Information Sharing and Disclosure
We do not sell, trade, or rent personal identification information to others. However, we may share generic aggregated demographic information not linked to any personal identification information regarding visitors and users with our business partners, trusted affiliates, and advertisers for the above purposes. We may also use third-party service providers to help us operate our business and the Site or administer activities on our behalf, such as newsletters or surveys. We may share your information with these third parties for those limited purposes, provided you have given us your permission.

Users may find advertising or other content on our Site that links to the sites and services of our partners, suppliers, advertisers, sponsors, licensors, and other third parties (“Linked Sites”). We do not control the content or links that appear on Linked Sites and are not responsible for the practices employed by those Linked Sites. In addition, these Linked Sites, including their content and links, may be constantly changing. The Linked Sites and their services may have privacy and customer service policies. Browsing and interaction on any other website, including websites with a link to our Site, is subject to that website’s terms and policies. FRCF shall not be liable for any loss or damage you may sustain as a result of your use of these Linked Sites
Use of Cookies
FRCF may set and access FRCF cookies on your computer. FRCF and third parties authorized by us use cookies and similar technologies to provide enhanced services and information to users of our Site. Most browsers accept cookies automatically. If you wish to disable or remove cookies, refer to your browser help menu for information.
We and third parties may also use beacons that provide information from your device to a server. Beacons can be part of online content and e-mails, allowing a server to obtain specific information from your device and track when content is viewed or an email is opened. These may also collect the time and date of viewing the beacon, as well as the IP address of your device. Beacons are used for a variety of purposes. Beacons assist us in determining how you use our services, and (together with cookies) we can improve the valuable content and information we provide.
Third parties and we may use other technologies such as “Flash cookies” and local HTML5 storage. Like cookies, Flash cookies are stored on your device and can be used to provide information about your activities and preferences. These technologies differ from standard cookies. Disabling HTML5 will vary depending on your browser. To turn off Flash cookies, right-click any Flash content, allowing you to access local storage settings for the Site. Reduce the locally stored content to 0. You may delete any data the site has planted on your computer and prevent future storage.

By using this Site, you signify your acceptance of this policy. If you disagree with this policy, please do not use our Site. Your continued use of the Site following the posting of changes to this policy will be deemed your acceptance of those changes.
Donor Information
Fay Rural Community Foundation is committed to respecting the privacy of its financial and in-kind donors, whether the donation is made online, by mail, or by any other method. FRCF will not sell, share, or trade a donor’s personal information with any other entity, except as described above, nor will we send mailings or other communications on behalf of other organizations. FRCF will only share personal information once the donor has given specific permission.

Unless otherwise stated, we or our licensors own the intellectual property rights and material on the Site. Subject to the license below, all our intellectual property rights are reserved.
