What a day. Seventy-seven of you joined us at Gallatin Sporting Clays for our 2nd Annual Clay Shoot, some from right down the road and others who traveled a good distance to be here. Seeing folks come in from beyond Montana meant the world to us, and it tells us this mission is resonating well past our own backyard.
The afternoon wind did its best to keep things interesting, sending more than a few clays off on detours nobody planned. But I think we can all agree that a little breeze beats last year’s rain. If this is the trend we’re on, next year we’re holding out for sunshine and a gentle tailwind.
Beyond the friendly competition and the stories swapped between stations, what stays with me is why we all showed up. Every entry, every raffle ticket, and every sponsorship goes straight to trade school scholarships for rural students who are ready to build real futures. That is grit and opportunity in action, and you are the ones who made it happen.
None of this comes together without our sponsors. A heartfelt thank you to our Big Shot sponsors, Osprey Contracting and Advanced Agrilytics, for leading the charge, and to our Sharpshooter sponsors, Accruit, Boa Safra, and Chicago Title, for putting real muscle behind these students. Thank you as well to our station sponsors and to our volunteers from the Fay Ranches HQ staff, who kept the whole day running smoothly.
And to every participant, thank you for spending your day with us and for your continued support of these students. It means more than you know.
We are already looking forward to seeing you all next year, wind, rain, or shine. Save your best shot for us.
