The Hicks Team, in conjunction with the Fay Rural Community Foundation, is proud to support the Crook County and Wheeler County 4-H programs.
This year, we were fortunate to contribute to several local youth livestock sales by providing an additional financial contribution in addition to the sale price of their fair animals. With recent wildfires impacting our communities and contributing to a more challenging sales year, we were especially grateful for the opportunity to help support these hardworking kids.
4-H is about so much more than raising an animal for the fair. Through their projects, kids learn responsibility, commitment, financial awareness, animal care, goal setting, public speaking, and the value of seeing something through from start to finish. They also learn how to handle both success and disappointment, work with others, and take pride in being part of their rural communities.
These are lessons that stay with them long after fair week is over.
The Hicks Team has deep roots in Central Oregon, and supporting the communities that have supported us has always been important to us. We believe in giving back locally and investing in the people, families, and programs that help make our rural communities strong.
We are proud to support the next generation of agricultural leaders and to invest in the kids who are learning firsthand what hard work, dedication, and community involvement really look like.
