In 2026, the Fay Rural Community Foundation launched its Trade School Scholarship Program to help rural students pursue careers in skilled trades and technical fields. By reducing financial barriers to education and training, the program creates opportunities for students while helping address the growing need for skilled professionals in rural communities.

This year, six Montana students received scholarships through the program, made possible by the generous support of Climbing Arrow Ranch and American Prairie Foundation.

Building Stronger Rural Communities

Skilled trades are essential to the strength and sustainability of rural communities. From maintaining agricultural equipment and providing reliable infrastructure to supporting healthcare services, these careers help keep rural towns thriving.

FRCF’s Trade School Scholarship Program focuses on creating opportunities for students pursuing practical, hands-on careers while helping build a skilled workforce for the future.

As the program completes its inaugural year, these six recipients represent the lasting impact that investing in rural education can have on individuals, families, and entire communities.

FRCF extends its sincere appreciation to Climbing Arrow Ranch and American Prairie Foundation for helping make these scholarships possible.
